The licensing of FrontSupportWeb and FrontSupport
is very easy to understand and implement.
FrontSupport (the window's client) uses
the named user licensing policy.
FrontSupport's licensing is NOT concurrent licensing. For example, if you buy
a 10 user pack of FrontSupport, you can only have 10 named users use
FrontSupport - i.e. your user list can only have 10 users. If you want to
have more than the 10 users use FrontSupport, you need to buy additional licenses.
FrontSupportWeb's licensing is a per server/user license.
When you buy a FrontSupportWeb bundle, you get 1 server license of FrontSupportWeb
. This means that you can install FrontSupportWeb on only 1 web server.
The number of users that can use the FrontSupportWeb application (via
the web browser) depends on the number of FrontSupport licenses you
have. For example, if you have 10 licenses of FrontSupport , you can
have 10 users using FrontSupport or FrontSupportWeb (via the web
browser).
You need to purchase as many licenses as the
number of FrontSupport users you have. The number of licenses you need does
NOT depend on the number of customers you are supporting.
The licensing of FrontSupportWeb and FrontSupport is independent of
ACT! or GoldMine licensing. That is, the number of ACT! or GoldMine licenses you have has no bearing on the licensing of FrontSupportWeb and FrontSupport.
